In the fields of materials science and precision manufacturing, balancing observation efficiency with imaging accuracy remains an industry pursuit. The release of Evident's DSX2000 fully motorized digital microscope offers a new approach to this challenge. The system integrates imaging, measurement, analysis, and reporting, enabling automatic objective switching via a motorized zoom head and revolving nosepiece, allowing users to select the optimal imaging mode from seven observation methods with a single button. With a wide magnification range from 26x to 7,300x and seamless stitching capabilities for creating large macro images, the device significantly streamlines R&D and quality control workflows.

Chinese microscopy technology has also made remarkable progress. At productronica Shanghai 2026, Shenzhen Hankun Technology showcased the HVS-6300 extended depth-of-field digital microscope, addressing the depth-of-field limitations of traditional microscopes with seamless zoom from 30x to 10,000x and extended depth-of-field synthesis technology. The device integrates stereoscopic, metallurgical, and polarization functions into a single system, enabling one-click image capture, 3D modeling, and panoramic stitching. Meanwhile, Sunny Instrument's DMS1000 3D extended depth-of-field digital microscope received the "Domestic First Set of Equipment" certification, featuring multiple integrated microscopy functions and a four-zone independent illumination system, marking a new stage for domestic semiconductor inspection equipment.

At the technological frontier, ZEISS launched the Visioner 1 digital microscope featuring Micro-mirror Array Lens System technology, enabling real-time all-in-focus imaging for samples with height differences up to 69mm without Z-stacking. Nikon also released Version 1.4 software for the ECLIPSE Ui digital microscope, supporting simultaneous comparison of up to 10 specimen images on a single screen with enhanced remote operation capabilities, addressing pathologist shortages and improving telemedicine collaboration efficiency. From laboratories to production lines, digital microscopes continue to expand the boundaries of human micro-visual perception through automation and intelligent technologies.
